The Friends of the Ballard Locks monthly meeting is coming up....tomorrow, August 27! We'll be bidding a fond farewell to Jim (the Roving Historian, who got all of this going) as he embarks on his next adventure. We'll get a private peek at what our volunteers have unearthed as they have been diving in to the artifacts, photos, and slides. There may even be cupcakes.
We meet at the locks at 6:30pm. Parking is free after 6pm in the main locks lot.

The Locks on Almost Live!
Ah, the wonders of YouTube! We've unearthed a good find -- a cameo by the Chittenden Locks and two lock workers on an old skit by the local skit comedy show, Almost Live!
